You can leave comments on the district council website now.

Chris has just left one here about the proposed housing in Rawreth in response to a council article entitled ” Thousands of Responses: From housing development to London Southend Airport your views all count”

Perhaps someone else would like to leave a comment as well?

There’s also something odd about this article on the council website:

Statement regarding the vandalism of trees in Hockley
?Following the destruction of eight chestnut trees in Fairview Playing Fields, Hockley due to vandalism, Rochford District Council has made the decision not to replace them at this time. This is partly due to the fact that the optimum planting time for trees is November to February, but in addition, the Council are keen to examine further ways in which vandalism to newly planted trees can be reduced in the future?.

It’s very sad indeed to see this vandalism, but isn’t Fairview Playing Fields in Rayleigh?
