The Geoff Bray dealership on Eastwood Road, Rayleigh, has now completely closed down.
Yet it was only two weeks ago Tesco was granted permission to transform half the site into a Tesco Express…..

  • Okay, now I’m really confused. Up until the half term Tesco seemed to be plodding on with their plans for a store in the right side of the Geoff Bray site with the left side to let. However after the half term there are now blue signs plastered all over the building, left, right and sides advertising SAINSBURY’S are applying for a alcohol license. So do Sainsbury’s now have the whole site or are they moving in to the part to let? That would make a CO-OP, Sainsbury’s and Tesco in a row. Surely not.

  • The alcohol license application states the entire address but that might just be a legal formality.

Anyone know what’s happening to the large piece of land adj to CO-OP that was also part of the Geoff Bray site? I’m always hopeful the CO-OP might use it and convert their existing car park to a walk way. That would be much safer for pedestrians.
