As Linda Kendall has mentioned in a comment today, the big housing application on the Hullbridge / Rawreth borders is NOT going to be dealt with on July 23rd. It is being delayed until a later date. This is apparently because the Gibraltar-based applicants want to work on some matters. Though some might think it would be better for it to go to committee as soon as possible , not to make a decision, but for the committee to look at what elements (if any) need improving, and then defer it for a full debate and decision on another night.
As to the “North of London Road” applications, we’re not sure of what’s happening with those either…
So we get 21 days to comment – whilst they take as long as they like , surely this can be challenged on some ‘procedural’ basis by a Councillor ? , and why are RDC being so accommodating ,surely their allegiance should be to those who they were elected to serve –
not some ‘offshore’ merchants………democracy – don’t make me laugh.
Admin – so where are we with establishing the “procedural correctness ” of this ? , what is the protocol for further objections based on whatever it is that is being given more time ( in fact what new information is there for the electorate to comment on – LOCALISM lol ).
Well, if a plan is amended due to responses from statutory consultees, environment agency etc, then they will have a chance to respond to the modifications. For the general public, they can send in late responses, which should be reflected in the addendum that goes to members on the evening of the meeting
MMMMM , but seems vague – how does Joe Public get to see what they are amending in order to comment on it , can it not be put on here for all to see instead of fighting a losing battle to find it on the “user unfriendly” RDC website……..?
I’ll try to post a link when we have something…
