For those people concerned about future housing, traveller sites and other development, it’s worth mentioning that April 30th – when the consultation period closes – is NOT the the end of the story.
If you look at page 155 of the “Allocations DPD- Discussion and Consultation Document”, you’ll find an outline of the rest of the process.
Council officers will analyse all the public responses. Councillors will then sift through the various proposals. There will then be a set of preferred options, which we understand will go out for another public consultation, towards the end of this year. This will be the “Pre-Submission” consultation.
Admin, One question that I believe was not answered at the Grange Community Centre meeting, is any of the travellers sites situated within a reasonable distance of the RDC Conservatives homes? And please answer this as an important aspect of residents concerns!
I second Mike’s question!
Well, Cllr Joan Mockford is within reasonable distance of the possible site in London Road
Come on Admin, Cllr Mockford will not be affected by the Gypsy/Traveller site in London Road from where she lives in her cosy little culs de sac.in the centre of Rayleigh.
