Just like in Rawreth, Holy Trinity Church in Rayleigh needs help too. According to the Echo:

A FUNDRAISING campaign has been launched to help collect cash for improvements to Rayleigh’s historic church.

Fourteenth century Holy Trinity Church needs to raise ?350,000 for restoration work.

There will be a sponsored teddy parachute jump on Sunday, May 18, from 12.30 to 5.30pm where children are encouraged to sponsor a bear and watch as it glides from the top of the tower.

The proceeds from a Rayleigh History Day on Saturday, May 24 and a Tower Open Day on Bank Holiday Monday, May 26, will also add to the fund.

Assistant curate, the Rev Nick Rowan, said: “It is important we raise the funds to keep this historic church in good condition.”

To help the cash appeal, call the parish office on 01268 742151 between 10am and 4pm.

Doesn’t seem to be anything on the parish website yet…..
