We understand that the planning application for an all-weather sports pitch at Sweyne Park School, Rayleigh , will be decided at the district council’s planning meeting on March 22nd. When we have some more news on this we will let you know…
Update: The application is recommended for approval by the council officers (However it is still possible for councillors to refuse the application). The officers recommend that the use be limited to 5:00 pm on Saturdays and 12:30 pm on Sundays. There will be no floodlighting or artifical lighting (except for security purposes).
The meeting is open to the public, but you can’t speak (the Conservatives still won’t allow it). It starts at 7:30 at the Civic Suite, Rayleigh (opposite the old “Amigos” )
