We hear that the roadworks in Rawreth Lane, outside Clarks Cottages will be there for at least one month as a main sewer has collapsed!
One driver has already made the point to us that the repair work should be starting earlier each day and finishing later – in order to speed things up.
Has there been any comment on why the sewer collapsed? Is it just one of those things that happens, or has there been other influences – increased traffic on Rawreth Lane, recent flooding eroding the surrounding soil etc.? Does this section of main sewer serve the new housing in the area?
