Last night’s annual council meeting was hurried through in 20 minutes
Simon Smith, as expected, was elected Chairman of the Council for 2011-12, with Joan Mockford as vice-chairman. Congratulations to them both.
Chris Black criticised the make-up of the cabinet , with no Rayleigh members included. Terry Cutmore replied with a rather sarcastic “Oh dear Oh dear”.
And that was about it….
Update: Just to clarify, the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Council are NOT members of the cabinet.
See my comments on the same 15th May topic on this website. I rather suspect Cllr Cutmore feels similarly offended.
