We are also very sad to hear of the death of John Pullen, one of the District Councillors for Wheatley Ward and a long-time resident of Rayleigh.
Many readers of onlinefocus will remember him as the chairman of the West Area Committee.
John was one of nature’s diplomats , with a gentle, amicable nature – he never had a bad word to say about anyone, and was always very pleasant to chat to.
We will very much miss hearing his mellifluous, agreeable voice in the council chamber.
Just catching up and sad to hear of John’s death.
I worked with John when he was a Governor at Grove Infants School and I was Clerk to Governors.
He will be sadly missed and I have to agree with all of the comments in the original post above.
