  • I’ve been curious about the boundary signs issue for some weeks now since a “Welcome to Rayleigh” sign appeared on the A1245 just short of the “Welcome to Rawreth” sign (for reference these signs are just north of the A127 roundabout)

I find these signs quite confusing! Are the Tories (i.e CC Highways Dept) trying to say that Rawreth is within the boundaries of Rayleigh? As far as I was aware this is not true. Is it?

Is it a cynical attempt to redraw boundaries before imposing new housing developments upon us?

  • TWR .
This is indeed confusing but the piece of land between the railway and the A127 is within Rayleigh Towns borders Rawreth begins at the railway .The Parish Council erected the Rawreth sign some years ago there being no boundary signs for RDC at all before now .Michelin Farm is within Rayleighs Town Council area although I am sure they would dearly love to disown it !!
