A Not So Warm Welcome Back from Greater Anglia!

Just as we want people to return to the railways, we find Rayleigh station adorned with giant placards warning (threatening), to prosecute and fine. As a long-time commuter who has paid thousands per year, I have no love for fare dodgers, but I find these over-the-top warnings disconcerting. Imagine entering a shop that had blazon across the front ‘you will be prosecuted and fined if you do not pay for items’. Not the greatest sales pitch! Come on Greater Anglia please think about what you are doing and saying. We all want to save the environment and be encouraged to use your trains.
