From the District Council website yesterday:
Due to the adverse weather conditions all waste collections remain suspended across the District. We are monitoring the weather forecasts constantly and based on the latest update from the Met Office we hope to be able to resume collections on Monday 6th December. However, this is subject to change depending on road and weather conditions. A further update will be provided via the website on Monday.
Residents are advised where practicable to bring their bins in and re-present them next week on the usual collection day.
The Council’s Pest Control service has been temporarily suspended. However, you can still book appointments.
All Leisure Centres in the District are open as normal.
Can you clarify – does that mean “bring their bins in and represent:
– the same bins or
– the due bins or
– all the bins
next week?
The council website now says:
“If collections resume on Monday, residents are advised that we will endeavour to collect non-recyclable (grey bin with a purple lid) and any recyclables (grey bin) missed from last week. Compostables collections (green bin with a yellow lid) will remain suspended until further notice.”
