There’s some interesting planning applications on this week’s ‘weekly list’. You can download the list here.
There’s an application at 25 Station Crescent, Rayleigh to convert a house into 2 flats. Rayleigh Town Council have not objected, but 6 neighbours are objecting strongly. The application meets council policies in terms of parking and garden size, and is recommended for approval.
St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School, Rochford – remove a tree and build an extension – recommended for approval.
Rayleigh Tennis Club, Watchfield Lane, Rayleigh – extension to clubhouse – recommended for approval.
Brook Road Industrial Estate, Rayleigh – convert warehouse at 15 Brook Road into gymnasium. Premises have previously been used for distribution of laundry – recommended for approval.
Riverside Industrial Estate, South Street, Rochford. Change of use for Unit 16 from offices to a training centre and day centre for people with learning difficulties – recommended for approval.
Land north of Devenish Ltd, Hambro Hill, Rayleigh – erection of stables etc and use of land for grazong and exercising horses, with 20 car parking spaces. This is recommended for approval. Though some residents have expressed concern about a bit of land NOT included in the scheme – they are worried that it has been ledt out of the scheme to allow for a planning application for housing later.
Each of these schemes will be passed by 1 pm Wednesday unless any district councillor ‘calls it in’.
