When Lib Dem campaigner Sid Cumberland was out delivering election leaflets yesterday, he was asked by a vet if he could look out for a runaway ferret! Sid tells us:
We thought we might have found the ferret! But it was actually a squirrel making distress noises, trapped up a tree by a cat .
Meanwhile the Green Party candidate in Hullbridge, Michael Hoy, is a bit of a runaway ferret himself. We understand he is running in the London Marathon tomorrow. Now clearly, you have to be totally mad – or inspired – to run a Marathon in the middle of an election campaign, but we wish him well in the race anyway. At the moment, the current 39 councillors might just about manage to run a Marathon between us.
Just with regards the comments made about Councillors and Marathon runners its not common knowledge but there are a few councillors who have run marathons in this District one is Cllr P Capon who I understand did rather well although he would rather no one new about it (I NEVER TOLD YOU.) all the best Andrew
