We have to say, Councillor Simon Smith cuts a pretty distinguished tall figure as chairman of the council this year. And he’s keen to play his civic role.
As the District Council website explains:
If you would like the Chairman to attend an event you are organising, or visit a group or organisation you are part of, please get in touch. The Chairman is keen to meet as many community groups from around the area as possible. To contact the Chairman?s office, please call the Civic Officer, Julia Mitchell, on or email julia.mitchell@rochford.gov.uk
We would like to invite Simon to the opening of the crossing at Downhall Park Way. But he is only Chair for one year!!! But the rayleigh Times said two weeks so lets hope that the press is correct on this.
Haha, we all wait with baited breath!!
Have received email from Highways saying they are chasing for the connections to be completed. The email includes other items and perhaps, Chris. ,this email could be listed to show the efforts we are making to seek local improvements. e.g the dropped kerb at Lubards Farm.
One week left. Crossing still not working watch this space.
