About the author, admin

  • Maybe not the right place for this post but: With Southend Airport almost ready for business does anybody know the flight path/s ? Will Easyjet etc be flying directly over the Rayleigh area ? Does anybody know ?

  • Flight paths have already been changed, we have been getting low flying planes travelling directly over us for some months. They seem to be mostly turbo-props like the ones flying into City Airport, but also the occasional jet. They make quite a racket, even with all Windows and doors shut.

Having flown from Southend Airport in the past, I suspect that the jets won’t come over Rayleigh, the direction of the runway send planes over Rochford or Leigh.
