Another FixMyStreet report today – this time FixMyStreet from Councillor Michael Hoy:

Very poor road surface
Reported in the Roads/highways category by Michael Hoy at 16:14 today
Sent to Essex County Council 1 minute later
The entire length of Thorpdene Avenue has a very worn and broken surface, with the underlying concrete now starting to break up.

Is it time for FixMyStreet to be included in the District Council website?

As the people who run FixMyStreet put it:

FixMyStreet is now available for seamless integration into council websites, and can be connected direct to back-office problem databases.
Integration offers:

* Reduced contact from people attempting to report problems which have already been reported
* Superior user experience ? avoid unnecessarily frustrating your users
* Optional ? Eliminate rekeying time ? problems slotted straight into your database

Low effort set-up
Men At Work signFixMyStreet functionality can be integrated into council websites with no technical work at all. We will not install anything on your servers, or require any technical assistance more taxing than an email containing your council website design templates.

No nonsense, clear pricing
FixMyStreet integration costs just ?3,500 +VAT, and includes all
hosting and support for one year (subsequent years? hosting
and support ?1,500 pa +VAT).

Seems something worth considering.
