The Remembrance Day service was held today at Holy Trinity, Rayleigh.
The number of people attending seems to go up every year. To accomodate more people this time there was an extra file of chairs placed in the centre aisle, and the church hall was full as well. In all, an estimated 400 – 500 people were there.
One phrase was heard several times during the morning : Blessed are the merciful…. Blessed are the peacemakers.
