I seem to recall some police forces telling home owners not to hide their car keys too well, as a determined thief may come into your bedroom and force you to hand them over if they can’t find them. Pehaps we should leave post-it note clues for the persistent thief – front door, you’re ice cold… hallway, getting warmer, kitchen, burning hot….
