The meeting between residents and Coral to discuss their planning application at the front of the Asda site is now confirmed for next Tuesday 19th August at St Nicholas Church, Church Road, Rawreth. Please arrive at about 7:45 for an 8:00 pm start.

(Go to the western end of Rawreth Lane and go straight across at the traffic lights. The church is about a quarter of a mile along the road)

  • This is a chance for residents to discuss with the developer any problems they think the application would cause.
  • It also gives the developer a chance to explain his intentions for the building.
  • The Rev Paul Trathen, Rawreth?s parish priest, will chair the meeting.
  • As district councillors, we will have a vote at the planning meeting, but we aren?t allowed to make our minds up in advance. So we are just coming along to listen to what people say, and to answer any questions about how the planning system operates.
  • We?re sorry for the short notice, but it?s been difficult to arrange things over the holiday period.
  • If you can?t come along to the residents? meeting, but want to speak to us about the application, please phone or email Ron or Chris.
  • We are also happy to discuss with anyone the other planning application coming up ? for mini sports pitches next to Rayleigh Leisure Centre.
  • Does anybody fancy help deliver 200 flyers around the Temple Way/ Priory Chase area to advise resdients?
