Bin collection update Monday 11 January 5pm
The collection for green/food waste (compostables ? yellow lid bins) and non-recycling (purple lid) from residents that did not have their collections on Thursdays will be collected Monday 11 January.

The rest of the District will have their collection of green/food waste (compostables ? yellow lid bins) from next week. Week commencing 18 Jan.
Residents from Monday collections will have their Recycling (grey bin) collected on Tuesday.
Residents from Tuesday collections will have their Recycling (grey bin) collected on Wednesday.
Residents from Wednesday collections will have their Recycling (grey bin) collected on Thursday.
Residents from Thursday and Friday collections will have their Recycling (grey bin) collected on Friday.From 18 Jan all collections will be back to normal (green/food waste ? yellow lid bins and non-recycling ? purple lid bins) if weather permitting.

I have just logged on to see what was happening with the refuse collections and saw this. I am on the Downhall Estate and according to this our bins should have been collected today, Tuesday. I saw them coming when I left this morning at about 8.30 in Downhall park way by Harberts Way but they don’t seem to have gone any further. Do you know what is happening?
You’re not the only person looking for info – we know we’ve had a big surge in visitors recdently.
Councillors haven’t received any more info than what we’ve copied from the council website above (a frequent email update to councillors would be useful!)
My only advice is to try to follow what the council have said on their last update – keep putting your grey bin out – the council emptied ours today, one day late. Hopefully they will be around to you tomorrow.
Thank you for that Chris. I will leave it out and see what happens. Would be interested to know if other people on Doenhall estate have had theirs collected.
My wife tells me that the refuse collection lorry was in Downhall Park Way yesterday, but didn’t do any of the side roads. I don’t know if this was recycling, compost, or maybe both.
I assume the side roads are still considered too slippery for the large trucks.
As at 10.10 a.m. this morning Canterbury Close has had its Recycling bins emptied!!!
Trenders Avenue has had its Recycling bins emptied. Do not know about the Composting bins though.
Temple Way had it’s Recycling Bins emptied yesterday (Tuesday) – NB should have been Monday. To time of writing the Compostable Bins haven’t been emptied yet.
I think it’s as the District Council website says – only the grey recycling bin this week.
