June Lumley has “called in” a decision by cabinet member Michael Steptoe to spend ?35000 on low-level fencing at Grove Woods open space.

You can download the full document here (94kb) bu there’s the key paragraph:

Works are currently in progress to improve the Grove Woods play area, which
is being funded externally. In order to protect the play area from stray dogs
and related health risks, it is recommended that low level fencing is installed
around the perimeter. The cost of these works will be in the order of ?35,000.
This can be funded from the unallocated open spaces budget.

June has done this in her capacity of Chair of the Review Committee. The decision will now be discussed at a future meeting of the committee.
