Over the coming months and years our local council are trying to build 450 to 500 new houses on the grassland surrounding our village. And they are looking at using land opposite Lords golf club for a travellers site.
We are opposed to this and would urge the council to look for alternative sites away from Hullbridge and the nature sites chosen.”
It will be interesting to see if the action group or the Parish Council actually suggest any alternative sites within Hullbridge itself – just as Rawreth Parish Council suggested alternative sites within Rawreth, they weren’t just NIMBYs
Alternative sites have been suggested by many people. These sites are generally brownfield as well. It does appear though that only sites in South West Hullbridge can be suggested as alternatives. This does make it rather impossible as any further west and they would be in Rawreth and any further south on the Golf Club.
………. so that would be the Golf Club who are allegedly worried they can no longer continue trading and may go under?
