Another District Councillor in Essex is leaving his party (It’s just like the transfer window in football!)
Cllr John Paul Goddard has left the Conservative Group on Harlow Council
and has announced that he intends to sit as an Independent for the duration of his term of office (May 2008).
The political balance of Harlow Council is now:
Con 11 (-1)
Lab 11 (-)
LD 10 (-)
Ind 1 (+1)
I wonder if there will be any Tories leaving their group on Rochford Council?
If I had known how much coverage I would haveeceived on Lib Dem blogs by announcing my resignation from the Conservative Group on Harlow District Council – I may have done it a good deal earlier!
