onlineFOCUS has today learnt, that Rayleigh will also be getting public electric vehicle charging points, as well as Hockley and Rochford. This news follows our earlier report this week on electric vehicle charging points for taxis being installed in Rayleigh.

The installations in Rayleigh will be in the High St and public car parks and is funded by the Early Measures Fund attached to the air quality study on the A127.

It’s good to see that finally some positive action is being taken on the illegal air pollution in Rayleigh and we’re sure this will be welcomed by all residents.

We haven’t got a timescale for installation but understand that planning applications have been submitted to the Council.
