A planning application has been submitted for the unauthorised traveller site on the A1245 in Rawreth. The application number is 10/00582/COU

It’s to change the use of the land there from farmland to a 12-caravan site, with retention of the current access.

You can see the application online here and leave comments.

  • I note the application is for 12 caravans .What about retrospective permission for what is there already ? ie; three permanent dwellings plus the rest .surely the application should be for lawful use not a fresh application? The highways authority have already registered an objection on the access on a previous occasion .This does not seem to be an “exceptional” reason for developing the green belt on such a prominent site with no screening .There must be one rule for everyone and no “discrimination” for the settled residents of Rawreth who have in recent months had several refusals for modest changes to their houses which have appeared illogical to many parishioners.
