A few days ago we added a link in our right sidebar for reporting overgrown grass verges , using the District Council website.
Credit where it’s due – a Downhall resident used it today, and had a phone call back from the District Council in about 15 minutes.
(though in fact the grass in question was on county council land – RDC will pass the information on)
I also received a prompt reply by email to my request for grass verge cutting outside my house. The sender also stated “Please advise if
there is much litter in that area at the moment. If there is, I will ask
the Street Scene team to look into this and arrange clearance if
necessary”.
This will be good service if the work is now carried out
Twenty days from my last post on grass verge cutting and the Rochford Team arrived today and carried out the work. They also cut the grass beside the ditch either side of Laburnum Way so maybe they have adopted this also.
I feel that the response was achieved in a reasonable time and I am hoping it will now be carried out on a regular basis.
