Tonight’s budget meeting went ahead fairly quietly – we’ll do an update tomorrow on what happened.
However one point is worth mentioning about Community Forums (the replacement for area committees). Chris Black asked for clarification on exactly what was proposed and it was confirmed by Council Leader Terry Cutmore that the panel for each forum would consist of all the ward councillors for that area, plus some of the cabinet. Chris in turn asked for this to be minuted.
The forums will be chaired by the leader….
