A gang of thieves were out last week in one part of Rayleigh stealing stuff from cars.
These were cars parked outside people’s homes whilst their owners slept. In particular, the thieves came upon several unlocked cars from which they stole money, CDs phones etc. All doors were then left open to avoid sleeping owners hearing them being shut….
Rayleigh is NOT a high crime area. But please lock your cars.
My neighbours were amongst those targeted last week. The gang were around for quite some time it appears and were just trying door handles all evening!
As stated above – please make sure your car is locked at all times!
