About lunchtime today we heard the dreadful news that a cyclist had just been killed in a road accident at the junction of Rawreth Lane with Priory Chase (the road into the Rayleigh Leisure Centre and St Nicholas School).
At the moment we don’t have much information, except that the cyclist was an adult, rather than a child. Parts of Rawreth Lane are still closed off to vehicles and pedestrians.
Our thoughts and sympathy go out to the bereaved.
