Industrial Action – Wednesday 30th November

Rochford District Council has taken all necessary steps to mitigate the impact of planned industrial action by a number of trade unions on Wednesday 30th November.
Discussions have taken place with the unions to ascertain how front line services can be maintained and exemptions sought from strike action for some staff groups.
Chief Executive, Paul Warren, said: “The Council has been communicating with staff and the unions about the planned day of strike action and how we maintain a normal level of service for our residents.
We believe we have in place a range of mechanisms across all departments to ensure there will be minimal disruption on November 30th.?
We anticipate that recycling and waste collections in the District will be as usual.
Please note that Rochford District Council does not have responsibility for schools in the District. This responsibility lies with Essex County Council and for details of school closures we would advise residents to visit the Essex County Council website
We will be doing our best to ensure we maintain normal levels of service but would be grateful for your patience.
We will update the website on Wednesday 30th November once the full impact of the industrial action has been assessed.
