The big news for today is the announcement of the Olympic Torch route through Rayleigh.
On July 6th the route will pass along much of London Road and then into Station Road, Crown Hill, then along the High Street, into High Road and down to the Weir.
There will be 13 torchbearers, 8 of whom have Rayleigh as their home town.
