We tend to mention Rawreth Parish Council quite a lot , but not so much it’s “big neighbour”. But if you are interested in Rayleigh stuff, the Policy and Finance committee of Rayleigh Town Council meets tomorrow night (Monday) at 7.30pm on at the Pavilion, King George V Playing Field, Bull Lane. You can download the agenda here.

They have a public forum:

“The meeting shall be adjourned for a total of 15 minutes to allow members of the public to speak on matters relating to items specified on this agenda. Each speaker will be allowed to speak for a maximum of two minutes.”

Possibly the most interesting items are:

(c) Interest Rates
Members to receive information from the HSBC and Nat West regarding current interest rates

and

10 PREMISES OWNED BY TOWN COUNCIL
Members to note that the Scouts Association is due to discuss the lease at its meeting in February 2009 and the Electricity company intends to engage an external agency to handle the negotiations.
