Wilkins & Sons are probably the best-known quality food company in Essex. And they have run out of their best variety of strawberry, “Little Scarlett”, as this extract from their Facebook page explains:
Perhaps Essex Strawberry Jam should be given the same international recognition that French wines get, or Parma ham….
