It’s a situation that happens quite often. There’s a planning application for a leisure activity that many people will enjoy, but it is opposed by neighbours who believe they will suffer as a result.

One current example is Rayleigh Tennis Club. They want some floodlighting, but have already been refused by the District Council.

The Echo reports here that they are now appealing to an inspector.
