According to the Evening Echo, and the BBC , Southend Borough Council have approved Southend United’s scheme for building a football stadium at Fossetts Farm. However they have rejected the club’s application to build a supermarket and flats at the current stadium site at Roots Hall.
So now we can expect a lot of people to come along to Rochford’s committee meeting tomorrow night, where the club’s application for training pitches and overflow car park will be decided.
