Wheatley ward Lib Dem Councillor Andy Cross has successfully managed to get Essex County Council to apply a temporary fix to the road surface. Following complaints from local residents and reports to their Essex County Councillor about dangerous chippings flying up, Andy contacted ECC directly.
Where others have failed, Andy has made the road surface safe until a permanent repair is made hopefully very soon.
Andy tells FOCUS that he is now turning his attention to the crossing that is in a poor state of repair.
