A Nice Walk In September….

Rayleigh Heritage Walk

The Rochford District Council Chairman?s Charity has organised a fascinating Rayleigh Heritage Walk set to take place on Sunday, September 11 between 2pm and 4pm.
.
Mike Davies from Rayleigh Through the Looking Glass will guide you through the town telling you stories of the areas? rich history to help raise money for local charities.
.
Among a host of other fascinating facts you?ll find out where in the town a suffragette threw a brick through a window in 1911 and hear the story about a World War II bomb that exploded behind a public house and many more tales of Rayleigh?s intriguing past.

Tickets cost ?5 for adults and ?2 for children with all the money raised going to support local charities. If the weather is wet on the day then a slide show will be arranged instead.
