The Eccho’s report last night covered the meeting pretty well, but here’s a few things worth mentioning:
the Full Council meeting was rather more good-natured than the committee meeting the previous night. Tory Councillor Keith Hudson even went as far as quoting Nick Clegg (which drew an acid response from one senior Tory lady councillor)
The four councillors who didn’t vote for the document were Hawkwell Resident John Mason, plus Chris Black, Jackie Dillnutt and Ron Oatham. (Lib Dems Chris and June Lumley were absent due to illness)
Council Leader Terry Cutmore began by stating that his fellow Tory councillor James Cottis wasn’t attending and had declared an interest due to his family having various landholdings in the district. (which we believe includes the site “North of London Road”). We are sure that the Conservative Group will keep things legal and above board.
