Many other street names have disappeared becsuse despite requests from Local Councillors the street signs have not been cleaned. I have asked the question about where money from the localism budget has been spent but as yet have received no answer. Can our District Councillors shed any light on this?
Let’s see what we can find out, Bruce. What other examples are you thinking of?
Under the localism budget it was requested that items for improvements be listed. Rayleigh Town Council did this. Several were in Downhall ward and were supported by, in some cases, all town council members present. None of the Town Councils’s suggestions appear to have been acted upon/ selected. I simply wish to know how much money was in this localism budget and which projects were given the go ahead, if any. This was asked for a while ago and has not yet been passd on. We cannot object to any decision as the relative merits of bids for money can be a matter of opinion but I do feel taht I am entitled to the information that is being sort.
Ironically 2 days after my post the new street sign has appeared at the end of my road. Has onlinefocus an influence we do not know about? Hopefully Morimer will be a little quicker to appear.
