The Daily Telegraph had a feature this week on “England’s least visited attractions”. The Dutch Cottage in Rayleigh came 14th with just 245 visitors a year. It doesn’t seem many, but bear in mind that the cottage is someone’s home and is only open by appointment on Wednesday afternoons.
It might help if the Telegraph located it in the correct town. If any residents in the parish of Rochford find someone looking for the Dutch Cottage , you’ll know why!
If you want to visit the cottage, you can book up on the District Council website here.
