Sorry for our brief absence . We’ve had nasty online criminals attacking our website, but things are OK now and we are back…

About the author, admin

  • Mmmmmm, after hearing on the news that the Lib Dems are opposing the Tories on measures to fight extremists then I reckon we are looking at about 60 million suspects hacking this site, let’s have less human rights and more action. It’s worth paying for a holiday in Spain next year just to rent a deck chair off of Euro Claggy….

  • So , we cannot ban British born terrorists from coming ‘home’ because that might be illegal !!!!! – well get and change the law so it is’nt illegal then , another case of the villain getting more consideration than the victim , what a useless country we have become.

  • Chris at #4 , OK fair point – I’ll settle for High Treason ( a hanging offence )………
These people are sophisticated enough to use our own sense of fair play against us,
and have done for some time now ( it took 10years and millions £ to get rid of Hamza ) . We need to toughen up and get our retaliation in first.

  • I’m sorry Chris, but I really feel your party leader has lost his way. He is completely out of touch with general public opinion on just about everything, and this is just the latest example. Basically all the electorate at large want is for politicians to put this country and the interests of this country above all else. Not Europe, not jihadists, this country. Banning these people from returning here when they could be coming back with the express intention of carrying out some form of atrocity makes perfect sense to me and most other people. At the moment Nick Clegg looks as though he is trying to be all things to all people, but all he is doing is looking weak and vacillating.

  • I am not a Lib Dem and no apologist for Nick Clegg, but what else can we do, if someone is British (first second third generation) and that is their only citizenship what else can we do but allow them to return home. This is their home, by all means arrest, charge and try them for any crimes committed whilst they were away if proof can be found but you cant stop them returning however unpalitable that may be

  • Richard, yes perhaps unpalatable but so are bombs and killings in the UK. Jim is spot on, we are now living in a very different world and the “old” rules don’t apply. What do you want, good old British fair play, a la the 1930’s or the get real rules of 2014…..I know what I want, and so do the vast majority of the public. ( except of course Euro Claggy and the Lib Doomed who are living on another planet )

  • So Mighty OZ,

how does it work then ?

Who and how decides who is banned, If group of lads go to Ibiza and cause trouble are they banned, or someone fights in a war, how do you decide especially as they could be on either side, British Jews in the isreali arm, its a mine field

The only way is to let them come home and then arrest them

  • Sorry Richard but people prepared to be-head helpless people online and no doubt mass murder that we don’t see , don’t deserve any consideration what so ever – they are beyond reason and should be persecuted by any means possible. Comparing them with Lads behaving badly is not realistic – although they should be proportionately punished too.

  • Jim,
I agree that such acts are beyound the pail and if identified I hope he stands trail somewhere but the only way for us as a country is to allow them to return and then arrest them…….who? under which authority? would this banning be imposed and policed , it has to be on an individual basis supported by evidence and by the courts in this country so that is the same as a trial. Your goal is lauable but HOW would it work? easy to say but a minefield to adminster. We coped with the IRA remember

  • Simple, set up a panel of top judges to decide, if they say no then these people don’t get back in, no appeals, nothing. Forget your human rights and all that lefty nonsense. Times have changed and we need drastic measures. Something like this would, I am sure, be supported by the vast majority in this country. And if these people don’t like it then clear off somewhere else. ( go and live with Euro Claggy in Spain next year for instance )

  • Unfortunately Richard is correct. Dominic Grieve was dismissed as the Government
legal eagle due to advising the Government that under International Law to make anyone ‘stateless’ was not possible and open to challenge (ten years of legal aid and costs for every one stopped then the case would be abandoned). He was speaking as it is. By suggesting these creatures can be stopped from coming back to this country politicians are lying, as usual! They are spouting what they think the people want to hear with full knowledge it wont work. They have opened the doors to this menace and our indigenous peoples and those wanting to join our society as decent contributors are reaping the results of their folly. Sorry Chris but unfortunately the Libdems have been the chief offenders with welcome all comers policies, followed by the Labour Party seeking cheap votes and then the Tories seeking cheap labour. What can be done? Deport those with dual nationality and show the other young impressionable idiots just what prison and warfare really involves. Stop creeping about and create an immediate prison sentence of ten years, with no remission, for membership of these groups. Perhaps a ten year wait to meet their 70 virgins might cool their ardour.

  • Linda, I don’t think many of the people that we are talking about here came into the UK since the Lib Dems joined the coalition!

Though if we are going to talk about Lib Dem policies prior to the coalition, I think it’s appallingly clear now that Charles Kennedy and the Lib Dems were right to oppose the second Iraq War. The consequences have been dreadful and are still getting worse.

And looking to the future, I am full of worry about the current policy of creating ‘free’ schools. They seem to be a license to allow any plausible crank with a bit of money to set up their own school and pass on their beliefs to other peoples’ children.
