If you want to keep an eye on every planning application that’s made in the District, it’s easy. You just go to this page on the District Council website.. It has the “Weekly Parish List of Planning Applications.” As people seem to be getting more interested in these, we are going to put a link in our lefthand sidebar.
Here’s two applications from the week ending 4th April (“Greenbelt” has already sent us a comment about the second one.!)As always, if you are a district councillor or district council candidate, remember to keep an open mind on these and don’t make a comment unless it’s a simple question!

Websters way seems a very strange place to put a wine bar. Whereabouts exactly is it proposed to be?
I’ve looked on the council website – there’s no map. I will ask the cse officer.
I currently trade at 37d websters way and totally oppose puting a wine bar here!
I have looked at my map at work and number 37 is the building almost opposite the back of Rayleigh Lanes, next to the car park. It used to be a sofa shop but I can’t remember what is in that building now?
Thanks Ian
We are advised that the site is the single storey building adjoining the three storey car rental office at No.35 on the left hand side of the road just before the junction with Eastwood Road and adjacent to the western edge of the Websters way public car park.
It is accessed via a small private car park to the rear of Nos.35-49 Eastwood road before the zebra crossing.
A couple of points to bear in mind :
– people are very welcome to leave comments here either for or against, but they should also send them to the district council
– it might be a wine bar , but the application is for “Public House, Wine Bar or Other Drinking Establishment “
