onlineFOCUS has learned that Rayleigh Town Council has written to Rochford District Council over it's inability to deliver an allocated travellers pitch(s) in the DIstrict, which has led to illegal sites and criticism from government planning inspectors.
Development Committee meets tomorrow night to discuss yet another 'greenbelt' application by travellers in Goldsmith Drive. Full details here
"Rochford District Council has prevaricated for far too long on the Michelins Farm site, which it has known for a long time is not viable, and has failed to take any action at the appropriate time in finding another suitable Traveller site." - Rayleigh Town Council
