There was an interesting result in Grange Ward for the town council.

The top three candidates would be elected. Chris and June Lumley, who sit as independents on the town council, were elected easily , with UKIP’s Jamie Burton getting electing in third place.

So that’s two independent holds, and a UKIP gain from the Conservatives.

Chris Lumley Independent 614 Elected
June Lumley Independent 566 Elected
Jamie Burton UK Independence Party 226 Elected
Keith Podd Conservative Party 198

Elsewhere, the Conservatives won all three Town Council seats in Whitehouse, and Lesley Vingoe got the most votes in the Hockley Central Parish Council election.
