A while ago we mentioned that the District Council’s planning enforcement team were considering the advertising balloon in Rawreth.
We understand that they have been in contact with the local company who display the balloon and advised them that they need planning permission if they ‘fly’ it for more than 10 days a year. (And if they are less than 60 metres above the ground they don’t need planning permission at all)
We’ve not noticed the balloon for a while now – it looks like the owners are complying with the planning regulations. But please let us know if you think otherwise.
