Many Rawreth residents recently turned out to show their respects on the passing of Peter Plumber, a well respect member of the Rawreth village community.
Peter was the Chairman of the Rawreth Flood Action Group and had fought for many years for a flood alleviation scheme for the village. Sadly, Peter’s dream has not yet been realised with no action being taken by Essex County Council or Rochford District Council despite talks continuing for several years.
We know Peter would want the work, that he so passionately gave much of his time to, to continue and we hope to give the residents our continued support with Cllr Chris Stanley and fellow Downhall & Rawreth Councillors at their side.
We send our sincere condolences to all Peter’s family & friends. May he rest in peace.
