This is the junction of Weald Road and Western Road, just off the High Street lights by Bennetts Funerals. That?ll be ever so convenient when someone has an accident because Essex County Council think that it is PERFECTLY CLEAR THAT THIS IS A ROUNDABOUT,

Well, using that logic why bother painting any lines on at all? Just let people work it out for themselves whilst they are waiting for Essex Fire & Rescue Service to cut them out of their cars. Let?s remember that this is a major road, is yards from our High Street and is a complicated junction with lights,a filter lane and a roundabout (of sorts).

County Cllr David Kendall, Cllr James Sapwell and myself have been working on this for over a year ? originally they said it would be done by end of March 2013, then by end of September 2013 and then not at all ? and I quote:

???..the refresh of the road markings has been robustly risk assessed and deemed not to require immediate intervention at this time. This will be added to a programme of ongoing works for completion at a later date, in order of appropriate priority.?
