The Decline of the Public Toilets

It’s not just here in the Rochford District where the District Council has been ‘offloading’ the financial burden of public toilets, but across the country public toilets are on the decline. This recent article from the BBC discusses the challenges that are faced with keeping them open.

Here in Rayleigh, residents are still patiently waiting for the new public toilets to open on Crown Hill. This has been a very long time coming for what would seem a relatively small scale project.

We wonder if this is yet another demonstration of the poor project management by the council and whether they would receive public support to deliver larger scale projects.
