The consultation period has now started on the “Local Development Framework”. The council has given us this advice on how residents can make comments:
“The quickest and easiest way for members of the public to submit comments on the Core Strategy Preferred Options is via the online consultation system at http://rochford.jdi-consult.net/ldf/. This is a simple process requiring a valid email address. If respondents are already registered on Rochford District?s Council?s online consultation system they can use the same login and do not need to re-register.
We recommend that the public also visit www.rochford.gov.uk and look under Hot Topics to view the document, access background information and, if required, obtain help on using the online consultation system.
We recognise that not everyone has access to the Internet and that it is important that no one is excluded from participating. Those that wish to comment but are unable to do so online are requested to contact the Planning Policy team on 01702 318191 and we will make alternative arrangements, including the provision of paper representation forms.”
